2301. The National Federation Volleyball Rules, as modified by the CIF, the NCS and the WACC are the official rules of the WACC
2302. Saturday practices are permitted during the entire season.
2303. The recommended starting time for the first match is 4:00. The next and any following matches will follow 19 minutes immediately after the conclusion of the preceding match. Match protocol after the preceding match shall be 3 – 8 – 8 segments. The three-minute period is common on-court time. The two eight–minute periods are court time by the serving team followed by court time for the receiving team.
2303.1 Varsity matches are three out of five games; JV matches, two out of three.
2304. Match Responsibilities:
2304.1 The host school shall provide two linespersons for each match. The home team shall provide an official scorer and timer who are trained in volleyball rules. For scheduled single games, the home team shall provide both linespersons.
2304.2The host school shall report results to the local media.
2304.3The suggested game ball is the NCS-approved ball.
2304.4Schools may charge an admission fee.
2305. Student-athletes may play on a different squad level from one match to the next throughout the season as long as the NCS limit on the maximum number of contests is followed; however this mobility cannot occur on the same day, nor on a different day against the same school in the same half of the season.
2306. If a team cannot finish the season, it will forfeit all matches previously played. If a team must forfeit three matches, all previously played matches shall be declared forfeit.
2307. The WACC league champions shall be the teams with the best league records. If there is a tie for first place, all schools involved in that tie shall be league co-champions The three WACC automatic representatives to NCS postseason play shall be the Foothill League champion, the Foothill League runner-up and the Shoreline League champion. If there is a tie for first place in the Shoreline League, or a tie for first or second place in the Foothill League, our automatic NCS representatives shall be determined by the following prioritized steps:
2307.1 The records of the teams within the tie against each other.
2307.2 If this is a tie for other than 1st place, the records of the teams within the tie against the teams above them in the league standings, starting with the first place team.
2307.3 The records of the teams within the tie against the team immediately below them the league standings
2307.4 The records of the teams within the tie against the next lowest team in the league standings. This process shall continue using all teams in the league standings.
2307.5 If at any time in the above steps a team is eliminated from the tie, but a tie still exists (started with a three-way tie for example), the progression starts once again with 2307.1 and continues until the tie is broken.

2308. The league champions shall host the postseason meeting on a rotating basis.
2309. The all-league selection process will be done using the WACC website.
2309.1 The number of nominees each team receives will be determined by the number of league matches won: The league commissioner may adjust nominations as necessary.
Coaches shall use the website to make their tentative nominations
2309.2 Coaches must be present at the postseason meeting to formalize their nominations. Schools not represented at the postseason meeting will not have their student-athletes considered for all-league.
2903.3 Coaches shall first select a “Player of the Year” from among those nominated.
2309.4 Coaches shall then vote for a first team and a second team. First team votes will receive two points; second team votes will receive one point. A total of seven players and one libero, the highest point receivers, will be selected for the All-League First Team; the next seven players and one libero will be selected to the Second Team. If a tie occurs, and the tie can be resolved by determining which player received the most first-team votes, it shall be done. Ties shall be voted off. The Player-of-the-Year shall be added to the first team.
2309.5 Coaches shall add two honorable mention honorees from their school after the balloting.
